Information System Management Auditor Internship 

Who We Are Looking For:

Senior students and fresh graduates with a passion for information security and auditing. No prior experience required, just a strong willingness to learn.

18-Month Internship Road-map ( of accelerated):

• Start with orientation and foundational ISO 27000 training.

• Rotate through different departments to gain a holistic understanding of information security management.

• Work under the supervision of experienced auditors on live projects.

Internships at Complade

Typical 18-Month Internship Roadmap: 

Information System Management Auditors 

Months 1-3: Laying the Foundation

1. Application: Submit your CV and cover letter.

2. Initial Interview: If shortlisted, you will proceed through an initial interview.

3. Begin your journey with the CompTIA Security+ / Google Security  certification training.

Months 4-9: Building Technical Skills

1. CISA Certification: Spend this period preparing for and obtaining the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification. It will equip you with audit control, assurance, and information security skills.

2. Audit Internship: Shadow experienced auditors to gain field knowledge. It's a critical step for understanding practical audit procedures.

Months 10-12: Implementation and Compliance Training

1. ISO Lead Implementer Training: Undergo this training and pass the exam to understand the implementing aspects of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

2. Compliance Process Training: Complete this training to understand company-specific compliance processes, and pass the exam.

Months 13-18: Advanced Technical Skills and Practice

1. CISM Certification: Spend these months preparing for and obtaining the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification. This will provide managerial and governance skills required for lead auditors.

2. ISO 27001 Lead Auditor: Complete this training and pass the exam to be proficient in ISO 27001 audit standards.

3. Auditor Team Member: Participate in at least 5 audits as a team member to gain a well-rounded experience.

Months 18-24: Towards Professional Expertise

1. Supervised Lead Auditor: Lead at least 3 audits under the supervision of experienced auditors to hone your skills and get feedback.

Final Step (within 18 to 24 months)

• Final Interview: Undergo a final interview to assess your readiness for the lead auditor role. This interview may involve case studies or hypothetical audit scenarios.
